In addition to being a member of the LSS Exec and the Academic Issues Council, Eric is the law school’s representative on board of the main UBC student government. This roughly translates to a free dinner twice a month. Having been a member of the AIC for the past two years, Eric provides a modicum of institutional memory, and continues to be an active voice for student issues within the faculty, in particular on the Building Steering Committee and on the Faculty Advisory Committee. His extensive experience combining academic furniture and napping has given him a strong background for his work with the committee selecting the furniture for the new building.
Having spent the first twenty-four of his twenty-seven years in Edmonton (and six of those at the U of A), Eric has spent the last two
years laughing at locals who complain about the weather. While Eric may often be found politely debating any classmate with the misfortune to be born in Calgary, he’s actually a nice guy who’s happy to chat, either about academic concerns, current events, food, or alcoholic beverages. His current favourite cocktail is the Don Draper at L’Abbatoir, but he harbours a fondness for anything involving Campari, and may also be bribed with discount codes for Threadless.*
